Instalaciones

Twenty years of emergency call-outs, no website, and every job arriving by word of mouth. Today they are the first result in Málaga for the search that makes the phone ring.

The brief

VLR Instalaciones is a 24-hour emergency electrician based in Malaga, Spain. They needed a website that would help them stand out in a competitive local market and convert visitors into phone calls.

The client had no online presence and was relying entirely on word of mouth. Competitors were ranking in Google and getting the calls that could have been theirs.

I built a fast, mobile-first website focused on one thing: getting the phone to ring.

What we built

01Click-to-call buttons throughoutHeader, hero and the end of every section. An emergency search ends in a phone call, not a form.
02Mobile-optimised design (most searches are on phones)Almost every emergency search happens on a phone, usually at night. Large tap targets, no pinch-zoom.
03Google Reviews integration for social proofYears of five-star reviews were sitting on a Google profile the website never showed.
04WhatsApp contact optionOne tap, no call, nothing to fill in. The fastest way to send a photo of the problem.
05Fast loading (hosted on Azure)224ms to first paint. Nobody standing in a dark house waits for a website to think about it.
06Contact form for non-urgent enquiriesA certificate or a quote does not need a 2am phone call. It needs an inbox.

What keeps happening

The site was not delivered. It is still being written.

A twenty-page website stops. This one is at 293 URLs across both languages and adds more every week, because the research and the publishing are the service rather than an extra invoiced on top.

01We find the question before we write the answerWhat people in the province actually search: what rewiring a consumer unit costs, whether a holiday let needs a certificate, what the new regulations changed. The article comes from the question, not the other way round.
02A page per service and per townAround 50 town pages and 18 service pages. Someone searching for an electrician in Marbella lands on a page about Marbella, not on a general contact form.
03Near-daily publishing in seasonThrough summer the site published almost every day - storms, air conditioning, solar, EV chargers. By the time the seasonal search arrives the article has been indexed for weeks.
04The regulations pages maintain themselvesWhen the rules change, every page citing them changes. A site still explaining a regulation that was superseded last year does more damage than one that never mentioned it.

Result

I couldn't believe how fast it was done. Within days I had a professional website that actually brings in customers. The phone started ringing almost immediately. Best investment I've made for my business.
